Miriam Elizondo
Miriam Elizondo is excited to be participating at the Summer Institute. She is facilitating the video editing track along with Kammi Matson and Kevin Co. Miriam studied filmmaking and animation at the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked on various television productions including "Image Union" for PBX at WTFW-Chicago, "Chicago Slices" for WPWR-Channel 50 and in a number of corporate, industrial and independent films. Since arriving in Homer a few years ago, she's been busy teaching experimental filmmaking to adults and kids and is one of the founding members of the Homer Film Society, a grassroots organization dedicated to the promotion of independent, creative film. Her most recent film on Native traditions can be seen at the Pratt Museum in Homer.
