Shana Sheehy

Shana Sheehy is the founder of the Alaska Teen Media Institute and an independent audio producer. For several years she's been telling positive stories about teenagers all over the state who receive Spirit of Youth recognition for their good works. Many AYEA teens have been profiled for this series over the years! Shana has a Journalism and Public Communications degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage where she now works as an adjunct professor. She's been involved in public broadcasting since she was in high school. She's worked for KRUA-FM in Anchorage, KTOO-TV in Juneau covering the Alaska Legislature for Gavel to Gavel television, and at the Alaska Public Radio Network.
