Tonei Glavinic
Alaska Teen Media Institute webmaster Tonei Glavinic is a senior at Steller and plays with the West Anchorage High School Orchestra. Zie is very involved with and passionate about LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) activism, on both a local and national scale. Nationally, zie is a member of the GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network) Jump-Start Leadership Team and co-chair of the National Transgender Education Project Youth Review Board (a project of the National Youth Advocacy Coalition). Locally, Tonei is a member of the Anchorage Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Coalition and leader of the GSA at hir high school. Zie is also involved with youth courts in Alaska as a presiding judge in the Anchorage Youth Court and president of United Youth Courts of Alaska's board of directors. Tonei has been a member of ATMI since March 2006, and before graduation zie hopes to create a new and improved web site for ATMI.
